PubChem provides information on the biological activities of small molecules and is organized as three linked databases: PubChem Substance, PubChem Compound, and PubChem BioAssay. Chemical structure records link to other Entrez databases that provide  information on biological properties including PubMed's scientific literature and NCBI's protein 3D structure resource. PubChem's bioassay database links to the results of biological screening.

Access to bibliographic information in the MEDLINE database as well as additional life science journals. Also provides access and links to integrated molecular biology databases included in NCBI's Entrez retrieval system.
