MISSION
The Hunter Library website supports and facilitates teaching and research at
Western Carolina University. We provide information to the students, faculty,
staff, and visitors of the University. The website represents an understanding
of the current needs of the University audience, presenting information about
the Library’s collections, services, and staff.
As the needs of the University change, our website should change as well. The Hunter Library website shall be flexibly constructed and scalable to accommodate both growth and changing demands.
GOALS
- Provide access to quality, current, fresh resources, by reviewing and updating the website regularly.
- Promote Hunter Library’s collections and services.
- Enable our users to find the information they need and expect.
- Organize information in ways that are intuitive and useful for our users.
- Present a design, layout, and style that conveys that Hunter Library is usable, understandable, accessible to all, clear, consistent, professional, and above all else, informational.
