Web Services: Web Checkup

Web Checkup is a time set aside by Web Services and each Unit Head to focus on their unit's use of the Web.

WHAT:

• Visit and review all webpages for which the unit provides content, including Insider pages. Check content for currency, accuracy, completeness. Discuss wishes and ideas for how the content could change and grow.
• Present "best practices" and ideas from other libraries. Discuss how these ideas could benefit Hunter Library and the unit's staff.
• Review how the unit uses Hunter Library webpages in their work. Discuss how changes could benefit the staff.
• Review how the unit uses other websites in their work. Discuss how we can incorporate information or ideas from other sites into Hunter Library website.

WHEN and WHO:

Web Services will schedule a convenient time with each Unit Head. The goal would be to meet with one Unit Head per week, for one hour. 11 Unit Heads, plus University Librarian, means each unit would be visited approximately every 3 months.

Feb 28-Mar 4 = Maps - Anita Oser
