Web Services - News Items

The purpose of News items on the library homepage is to provide information on events, issues, products, services, etc. that will enhance patron experience and publicize the library. News items are expected to have a limited life, normally less than 3 weeks.

News items:

  1. can be submitted by any library employee;
  2. must have a recommended start and stop date;
  3. must be edited by a member of the Editorial Group;
  4. have no length requirement but short is recommended;
  5. will be added to the homepage by the Web Services Assistant

News items are created on Blogger.com. Create a blogger account, have it added to the Library News Blog, then you can post items. The headlines are automatically populated on the library homepage and news and events page.
