Cataloging/Acquisitions: Requesting Items Not Yet Shelved

1) Item not in Catalog.

Hunter Library, and the libraries at UNCA and ASU do not own the item.
Request through ILL

2) Item in Catalog, not owned by WCU, but owned by UNCA or ASU.

Request through ABC Express

3) Item in Catalog - record shows "1 copy ordered for WCU on (date)"

Contact Janet Sanders in Acquisitions (email or phone 3747) about the order status.

4) Item in Catalog - record shows "1 copy being processed for WCU"

Item has been received at Hunter Library but has not yet been cataloged and shelved.
Call Cataloging at 7188. Item will be processed and placed on hold for patron at Circulation Desk within 2 working days.

5) Item in Catalog - record shows "IN CATALOGING" in the status box

Item has been received and is being cataloged.
Check with Circulation Desk to see if item is waiting to be shelved. If it's not, call Cataloging at 7188. Item will be processed and placed on hold for patron at Circulation Desk within 2 working days.

6) Item in Catalog - record shows location, call number, status is AVAILABLE

Item should be shelved.
