The Student Assistant Committee is a standing committee, charged with reviewing the Library's practices concerning student assistants and developing recommendations to enhance those practices. While the committee can address any issues that are relevant to student employment, it should focus on establishing procedures for work-study and non-work study student employment, pay scales, new student orientation, student appreciation activities, and evaluation of student job performance.
The Committee will be expected to solicit input and involvement from other library staff as appropriate. Recommendations are to be made to the University Librarian. Members of the Committee should include a representative from each Unit employing student assistants.
