CHOLERA

Our accounts this week about the cholera are more favorable. The disease has spent its rage in Quebec and Montreal and was subsiding. From our papers, we learn there had been but a few cases within the limits of the United States. It seems, however, from another source of information, upon which we can rely that it had broken out in the City of New York, and that the Board of Health has reported twelve cases and eleven deaths.

A CAUTION.

We would respectfully caution all Cherokee friends against the many rumors which are circulating about certain things and certain persons. This is no time for impugning each others motives ' doubting each other's patriotism. We hope there will be no attempt made to create the idea that there is a faction formed or forming, and by that means destroy the reputation of certain individuals. We know of no such faction - we say to all, be national--look to the interest of the people-nothing but the interest of the PEOPLE.
