The Georgia Persecution continues to call forth abundant indignation from the political journals; and since the election is now over in our own state, we shall probably find room for a few extracts in our future numbers. The condition of the imprisoned missionaries ought, above all things, not to be made a question in party politics. Common sense, common honesty, and common humanity, forbid it. The honor of the nation is tarnished by the foul deed of persecution. The nation is concerned deeply in this iniquitous transaction. Christians however have additional considerations in regard to this business. Let them remember daily, at the mercy seat their brethren in bonds.--Western Recorder.
