The degree provides majors with a solid background in business, as well as the pre-law foundation necessary for law school. Graduates are perfectly positioned for advanced study or careers in a variety of industries, including advertising, banking, law, healthcare administration and risk management.

What You'll Learn

The degree program allows students to develop a comprehensive background in business theory, application and practice by way of a rigorous curriculum taught by enthusiastic faculty members. The business core includes courses from multiple disciplines, including accounting, finance and marketing. The major requirement includes courses such as Business Organization, Contracts and Sales Credits, Legal and Professional Skills Credits, International Business Law, and Business Ethics and Corporate Responsibility. In addition to curriculum-based learning opportunities, students may choose to participate in the Business and Law Society and the Campus Mediation Society, both of which are open to all students.

Where You'll Go

Business administration and law graduates receive the best of both worlds: the degree opens doors to promising careers and provides an excellent foundation for further graduate or professional study. From financial institutions and law and manufacturing firms to health care, non-profit and sales organizations, graduates begin their careers in a wide range of employment settings due to their education and experience. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, business and financial operations occupations are expected to increase 12.5 percent by 2022, slightly above the projected 10.8 percent increase of all occupations.
