Studio Art Program

The School of Art and Design’s B.F.A. degree option in Studio Arts is created for students who wish to hone their focus more intensively on fine art and design. Completing the B.F.A. curriculum will prepare students for a career or post-graduate study in art, design or related disciplines. Program concentrations allow students to explore a specific area of study while following a rigorous art curriculum.

After becoming admitted to WCU, those students who pursue the Studio Art Program must apply for entrance by submitting a portfolio of digital images and a letter of application that describes their goals and interests in the field. Students may do this either as entering first year students or as first-semester sophomores. The Studio Art Program also offers an Art Minor for students who wish to complement their studies with a less intense involvement in Art or Design.
