Keynote Title: Using Nature to Move Full STEM/STEAM Ahead in Early Learning!

Outdoor and environmental education allows for a multitude of inquiry-based STEM lessons which integrate both the academic and intellectual goals of early learners. Join Tanya Poole to investigate how hypothesizing, decision-making, design and measurement can share time with writing, drawing and early literacy skills in your early childhood classroom.

Keynote speaker: Tanya Poole
Tanya Poole is the State Project WILD Coordinator and Southern Mountain Education Specialist for the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. She has been with the agency for 11 years and is a former elementary school teacher. She has a BS degree in Elementary Education from Western Carolina University and a MS in Environmental Education degree from Montreat College.

Late registration fee is $55 if mailed March 8 or later.
