Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI): The international honor society of nursing.

Eta Psi Chapter, Western Carolina University

The mission of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, is advancing world health and celebrating nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service.  The purpose of Sigma Theta Tau is to recognize superior achievement, recognize the development of leadership qualities, foster high professional standards, encourage creative work, and strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession. Membership in the honor society is by invitation. Candidates for membership include School of Nursing undergraduates ranked in the top 35% of their class, graduate students, and community leaders.
