Clinical Education Requirements

Prior to beginning ATTR 283 during the fall of the sophomore year, the following must be on-file with the Athletic Training Program:

  • WCU AT Program physical examination form (Completed after June 1)
  • Immunization record (reviewed and signed by a physician). This must be transferred to the WCU AT Program physical examination form.
    • Tdap series
    • Tdap booster within 10 years
    • Measles, Mumps, and rubella series
    • Polio series
  • Hepatits B vaccination series (initiated) or signed waiver
  • Hepatitis B titer
  • Verification of Negative TB Test or Negative Chest X-ray (Completed after June 1)
  • Varicella immunity (as documented by proof of varicella titer (antibodies), or completion of varicella vaccination series)
  • Approved Criminal Background Check
  • Negative Sanctions Check
  • Negative Drug Screen
  • CPR for the Professional Rescuer (good through May 15 of the following year) - only the following courses will meet this requirement.
    • American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers

All requirements will be specifically discussed during ATTR 183 and upon application for Provisional Admission. Deadlines, approved providers, and required documents will be provided to the student during ATTR 183 or upon provisional application. Students not meeting required deadlines and documentation may not be cleared for clinical education experiences.
