The John Gower Society was founded in 1981 and published the first JGN
(The John Gower Newsletter) two years later. Membership is world-wide.
In addition to JGN, which appears in October and April of each
year, the Society publishes an occasional series of volumes, the John
Gower Series, with Boydell & Brewer, under the general editorship
of AJ Minnis and RF Yeager.

Payable in April each year
- Regular Members: US $15.00
- Graduate and/or Research Students: US $5.00
- Libraries: US $15.00
Payment should be made by check, international money or postal order,
or travellers' checks in US dollars (payable to the John Gower Society)

- two issues of JGN each year
- a voice in all Society business, including selection of topics for
the Gower Society-sponsored paper sessions each year at the International
Congress on Medieval Studies in Kalamazoo, Michigan
- a free drink at the Society's cash bar at that conference.
From time to time special discounts are also available to Society members
on purchases of books.
