Virtual Student One-Stop in development
As the university moves to complete its Student One-Stop in Killian Annex, efforts are being focused on creating a virtual version on Western's Web site. A Virtual Student One-Stop Task Force has been formed to begin work on this project which will bring together most student-related institutional information and services at one location on the Web.
The task force will be completing the project in two phases. The first phase will involve the design of a common look and feel for the site, bringing together current services with a focus on prospective students and current student retention. Increased services during this phase will include online orientation registration and changes in the Web-based university catalog. The projected due date of the first phase is February-March 2005.
The second phase of the project will include making available additional services such as online car registration and additional residential living forms.
