| Dr. Tom Franke, Western's chief information officer, was awarded a grant that allowed him to participate in the Super Computing 2005 High Performance Computing, Network and Storage Conference that was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in November. Funding was provided by grants to the UNC Office of Information Resources. The purpose of the grant was to help technology leaders understand the support needed for high performance computing in academic research and instruction. |
