The Faculty Sandbox (located in Hunter Library room number 184) fashioned metaphorically after the backyard sandbox of our childhood. the environment is relaxed and geared toard faculty that are at the beginning or intermediate level of technical experience. The Sandbox is dedicated to Western faculty and Teaching Assistants who wish to explore instructional technolog solutions for their course. It is equipped with both Windows and Mac computers which are hooked to peripheral devices such as scanners, CD burners and other external devices. A major goal of the Faculty Sandbox is to help faculty become comfortable with the changes in teaching and learning brought about by the computer and  toher related technologies. Emphasis is placed on helping faculty learn and apply new skills and abilities in their classrooms and offices.
