Instructional Technology Support manages and operates three (3) Microcomputer labs for Western Carolina
University students to complete class assignments. The Labs are staffed with
trained student lab assistants to aid students using the computer workstations.
All computer workstations are networked and provide access to various college
network servers and the World Wide Web. Basic software accessible on all lab
microcomputers include the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
Access), Netscape Communicator and telnet applications (Mac: Better Telnet and
Fetch, Win: QVC QvtTerm and WS_FTP). There are some curriculm specific software in the labs, however, Instructional Technology Support does not support this software.. Therefore,
students using curriculum specific software must contact their professor for
support. Lab assistants are not responsible for curriculum specific software
and are not trained in this area.
NOTE:
The Hunter Lab has relocated to the ground floor of Hunter Library. We will operate with the library hours until the 24 hour access construction is completed. |
