The Scantrons used for test scoring and scanning forms have been relocated from Forsyth building to the following locations:
- College of Business – Belk 293
- College of Health and Human Sciences & Kimmel School – Belk 208
- College of Education and Allied Professions – Reid 100
- College of Arts and Sciences and the rest of the campus – Hunter Library Computer Lab
The Scantron equipment is available as a self-service to WCU faculty and staff. Using your mouse, right click and choose “Save as” to Download Scantron Instructions to your computer.
Procedures & Policies
The Scantron is a self-help service. It is not a “DROP OFF SERVICE."
Due to FERPA, faculty will be responsible for scanning their own tests.
Graduate assistants working for the faculty and the college are not permitted to scan tests.
Students (employed by the faculty, department, college or IT) are not permitted to scan tests.
IT is not responsible for scanning tests.
IT is responsible for supporting software and hardware listed under the supported list - http://www.wcu.edu/it/. For your convenience, a binder with instructions, procedures and policies is placed next to the Scantrons.
Forms for the Scantrons can be purchased at the WCU Bookstore. The correct form to use with the Scantron is “General Purpose Answer Sheet Form No. 16504."
Each Scantron has a PC attached to it. To log into the PC use your WCU domain credentials. The username is your “WCU email username” and the password is your “WCU email password."
Remember to log off after you have finished scanning your tests.
