A collaborative project between the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and the Department of Residential Living for the 2007-2008 school year has come to fruition.
The Spanish Living-Learning Experiment will be housed in Norton Residence Hall. The ratio of non-native speakers to native speakers is nearly one to one, so we are optimistic that this effort will be an extraordinary opportunity for our students. Participants in the project will be working closely with members of La Voz Latina and MFL faculty throughout the year.
Hopes are that as this project matures, it will serve as a desirable residential and academic option for students that incorporates candidates from all colleges: business, social work, nursing, criminal justice, etc. Students are now encouraged to consider the program for the 2008-2009 academic year.
