Statewide Partner Site Network
Since its inception in the 1996-1997 school year, the K-12 International Outreach Program has reached over 60,000 students through classroom presentations in 52 counties across North Carolina. The program began at the University Center for International Studies at UNC-Chapel Hill. Over the past six years, the CGI program has helped establish five other K-12 International Outreach program sites at UNC-system schools across the state. Today, K-12 International Outreach Programs operate at Appalachian State University, Western Carolina University, UNC-Charlotte, UNC-Wilmington and Elizabeth City State University.
