I wanted to post this about how I met Kaitlyn at Western Carolina for #ILoveWCU and it's Valentine's Day tomorrow. It was one of the first football games of 2012. I was in the stands with the Drumline, and I saw her in the first quarter dancing with the dance team. The entire game I was talking with friends saying things like "She's mine. I'm going to make her mine one day!" Later in the season I saw her in the cafeteria and went up to her and said something like "Hey you're that pretty dance girl right?" I told her she's got the moves and I've got the grooves.. Several months went by of Kaitlyn giving me the cold shoulder. I was finally able to talk her into weekly lunch dates at Chick-Fil-A. Lunch dates turned into dinner dates. Dinner dates turned into me asking if she would like to be my girlfriend. Since then we have experienced so much together. Running the mountains, vacations to the beach, and most recently a trip to Denver Colorado where she said YES to spend the rest of our loves together! So happy to call this beautiful and amazing woman my fiancé, and future wife! All thanks to WCU #ILoveWCU @western_carolina #WesternCarolina 💍

#ilovewcu here is my Valentine's Day entry! We met in Harrill Hall and used to swing in this spot after lunch every day. Seven years after meeting we got engaged. We went back to campus for a football game and saw this gorgeous purple and gold sunset. 💜💛 #forevercatamounts #nofilterneeded @western_carolina
#Ilovewcu because, from the supportive faculty and staff, to the beauty all around campus, you feel welcomed and at home here. I have made some amazing friends with people that truly care about me here. The classes I've been in are fun, (yes I used the words classes and fun together) and the professor's that I've had are so kind and understanding when you need help or have a problem. They truly want you to succeed in life. Everyone struggles with something, but the wonderful community at WCU helps you feel like you're not alone, and you can be real and open. Western Carolina University is amazing!
@WCU I love the gorgeous campus, the professors are understanding and care about our education, and the friendly atmosphere💜💛
I love WCU because of the friends I've made and the amazing views I get to see every day.
