Library Catalog – Books, e-books, CDs, DVDs, journal titles, and more. You can order many items from ASU and UNCA via ABC Express.
Articles/Databases – Find articles as well as primary sources, statistical, biographical, financial, legal, and tax information. If you know exactly which database to use, try the A to Z list. If you are not sure which database to use, try the subject list, which includes academic programs.
E-Journals – Find out which online journals WCU has access to by browsing this list of e-journal titles. You can also find e-journals in the Library Catalog.
Course Reserves –
Students: Look up your assigned readings –many are available online!
Faculty: Put your course readings on reserve – in print or online format.
Videos & DVDs – Browse or search feature films and academic videos.
Curriculum Materials (CMC) – Find instructional materials, professional teaching resources, textbooks, big books, and children’s and young adult literature.
Newspapers – Search the extensive collection of online newspapers, through databases and direct links. Browse the titles received at Hunter Library, as well as our North Carolina newspapers on microfilm.
Special Collections – Browse information about manuscript and photography collections held in Special Collections.
Digital Collections – View the online digital collections: The Cherokee Phoenix, Cherokee Traditions, Craft Revival, Civil War Letters, Education in Western North Carolina, Horace Kephart, and Travel in Western North Carolina.
Leisure Reading – A collection of popular fiction and nonfiction chosen for pleasure reading and entertainment. Genres include but are not limited to mystery, thriller, romance, horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and graphic novels.
US Government Resources - Locate information about and from the federal government on the web. Subjects range from agriculture, education and health, to statistics, taxes and weather.
North Carolina Government Resources - Find links to a variety of information on state and local governments and agencies.
Regional Government Resources - A mini-directory of Western North Carolina information. Includes links to towns, counties, local area businesses, schools, and more.
Maps – Thousands of paper and electronic maps, gazetteers, and data for use with Geographic Information Systems.
