Hunter Library Fact Sheet

Hunter Library offers dynamic spaces, diverse collections, and expert assistance to support the WCU community’s needs. Within the library are collaborative and individual research space and study rooms, the Scholar Studio, the Curriculum Materials Center, Special Collections, and a virtual reality learning lab. The library’s physical and digital collections include both traditional and nontraditional materials that are selected to meet the curricular, research, and recreational needs of the WCU community. Subject librarians and area specialists are available for research consultations, publication support, assistance with creating and editing digital content, and more. Hunter Library was originally built in 1953 and expanded in 1967 and 1983. Other units and campus services housed in the library include the Coulter Faculty Commons, the Mountain Heritage Center and Gallery, the Technology Commons, and Java City.
