• Procured substantial donation (materials) to create a tile mosaic at Cullowhee Valley School, NC.

• Recipient of the Chancellor’s Travel Fund. Received funds to present the paper “Learning to Teach Information Literacy: the case of Hunter Library at Western Carolina University” in Milan, Italy, March 2007.

2006:

• Certificate of Recognition from the Honors College for Sponsoring the Undergraduate Expo 2006.
• Received a microgrant from the Coulter Center to attend music training at ASU in May 2006.
