The Western Carolina University Foundation promotes higher education, and supports the enhancement of Western Carolina University. The Foundations's goal is to aid and assist Western Carolina University in its development as a leading educational institution.
The Foundation assists Western in many ways, by creating scholarships and endowments, and in providing supplemental funds for both students and faculty. University staff representing the Foundation develop and maintain positive relationships with the university’s broad range of constituents in order to encourage and facilitate financial support of the university’s teaching, research, and engagement activities.
Management of the Western Carolina University is vested in its Board of Directors who provide oversight for the foundation's efforts. Membership for the Foundation Board of Directors is determined yearly at its annual meeting.
