WCU SCHOLARSHIPS

MERIT BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
All students who are admitted as degree-seeking undergraduates are considered for merit based scholarships. A separate application for scholarships is not required. The academic statistics on file for students will be used to match qualifying students with scholarships.

For entering students, merit based scholarships are generally available to students who have achieved a 1100 or higher score on the SAT and who have earned a 3.50 or better GPA in their high school course work or are in the top 10% of their high school class. These merit based scholarships are generally renewable based on outstanding academic success while enrolled at WCU.

NEED BASED SCHOLARSHIPS
Need based scholarships are awarded to students with demonstrated financial need as determined by Federal Methodology. To be considered for these scholarships, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Most need based scholarships are renewable but students must complete the FAFSA yearly in order to establish eligibility.
