| LEWIS BUCK: Beyond the Surface - Life Works in Painting and Assemblage Reception: Saturday, September 6th, 2-4PM The exhibition is a career retrospective of the poetic works of art of Lewis Buck, Black Mountain, North Carolina and includes fifty paintings and collages representing Buck's prolific career spanning 60 years. Purely lyrical, vibrant colors, textural zones and found objects make up Lewis Buck's creative genius inspired by a lifetime of observation and the spontaneity of life itself. Lewis and his wife, printmaker Porge Buck, have been advocates of the Asheville regional artistic community for 25 years. read more about the exhibition |

| Inspired Design - Jacquard and Entrepreneurial Textiles “Inspired Design: Jacquard & Entrepreneurial Textiles,” an exhibition of both national and international leading artists of innovative textile design, including a variety of computer designed textile applications. This exhibit features designs and work that represent five 21st Century design growth areas of creative/innovative textiles and digital technologies. Organized by the Center for Craft, Creativity and Design, Kellogg Center, Asheville. CCCD is a University of North Carolina interagency partner with Western Carolina University. |
