Collegial Review Council (CRC Final Report 2011-2012)
Items In-Progress/On-Going for 2012-2013:
- Clarifying hearing/grievance process for the summer
- CRC Chair will produce a short (1 page) handout and bibliography on collegiality for Department Heads and Deans
- Investigate use of Digital Measures or other software in collegial review process
- Abstention in collegial review voting
- Composition of CRC membership -- appointed versus elected
- Various clarifications requested by UCRC (as included in final meeting minutes of CRC)
Academic Policy and Review Council (APRC Final Report 2011-2012)
Ongoing Issues:
- Work with University Curriculum Committee and Liberal Studies Committee in following up on the General Education Task Force Report and Recommendations with the Colleges and bringing a proposal to Faculty Senate
Faculty Affairs Council (FAC Final Report 2011-2012)
Ongoing Issues:
- A possible joint resolution with the Athletics Committee regarding the institutions academic principles for Athletics
- Possible creation (with Collegial Review Council) of a Senate committee for Adjunct Faculty issues, such as policies/procedures for promotion.
- Investigation of adding a Faculty Senate representative to the Registrar's Advisory Board.
- Copyright issues for digital materials/objects.
- Responsibilities of 9-month faculty in the summer.
- Issues surrounding the bookstore and technology policies.
- Investigation of policy regarding course assessments outside of the SAI.
- Issues regarding parental leave.
