EXTREMES: The Sophomore-Junior Experience

Everything gets easier once you survive your first year of college, right? Not exactly. Sophomores and juniors can become overwhelmed with important decisions regarding major and career choice, internships, study abroad and service learning opportunities, and how to manage finances and housing. EXTREMES is designed to provide all WCU sophomores and juniors with resources and programs that support a fulfilling college experience and keep you on track toward graduation and your long-term goals.

More specifically, EXTREMES aims to help students:
1. Increase self-efficacy
2. Integrate skills toward future goals
3. Increase engagement in learning
4. Develop group identity and attachment to WCU
5. Enhance personal and professional identity

EXTREMES is a cooperative venture of faculty, staff and students to support the continued development and success of all WCU sophomores and juniors. Students who participate in EXTREMES programs will better define academic and personal goals, create a map of coursework for future semesters, and keep a checklist of activities to be completed to stay on track to graduate.
