Shock as a condition of circulatory failure that can progress to an irreversible state and result in multiple organ dysfunction or failure before mortality. The undifferentiated shock presents an even greater challenge for clinicians in the emergency care setting with treatment choices having longer-term consequences on the outcome.
Conference presentations include influential speakers that lead the industry with exciting sessions addressing treatment strategies, pathophysiology of varied shock etiologies, clinical manifestations and resuscitation issues.
ABLS Provider Course
This is an eight-hour course for physicians, nurses, PA’s, NP’s, and Paramedics. The course provides guidelines for the assessment and management of the burn patient during the first 24-hours post injury. Following a series of lectures, case studies are presented for group discussion. As an opportunity to work with a simulated burn patient to reinforce the assessment, stabilization and the American Burn Association transfer criteria to a burn center will be given. Final testing consists of a written exam and practical assessment return demonstration. CEU’s and CME’s awarded.
