It's late at night and you're walking to your car alone. Does your personal safety rest solely on a key-chain tube of old pepper spray that you're not sure even works? How about the panic button on your keys? Would this serve only to add a blaring soundtrack to an assault should one occur? It's just not enough. Better preparation is needed.

Someone is sexually assaulted in the United States every two minutes. That's over 207,000 victims annually. You don't have to be a black-belt or a heavyweight champion to thwart an assault. Nothing can substitute for mental and physical preparation. Knowledge is your most valuable weapon.

This 2 1/2 hour class will show you easy to remember techniques that could save your life. Women of any age will benefit from the skills learned. Topics will include:

  • violence awareness & survival
  • unarmed self-defense tactics & strategies
  • common weapons for self-defense

What to Wear:
Casual clothing recommended. Please avoid dresses, skirts, high heels, flip-flops and excessively loose articles of clothing or jewelry. Sweats or workout clothes are not required, but you may wear them if you wish. Jeans are perfectly fine and tend to be the norm. Socks are also encouraged.

How physical will it get?
While we will be demonstrating some defensive physical techniques (and practicing on each other) much care will be taken to avoid excessive force. We don't want anyone to get hurt. If you have any questions or concerns, please call us at 828-227-3066.
