Launching a new social channel

Units who are considering starting a new WCU-branded social media channel should begin by contacting Social Media Manager Donna Presnell. She will work with you to understand the resources, time commitment, and scheduling processes and planning that should be in place prior to implementing a social media platform on behalf of WCU. Donna will help you to assess which types of social media tools will work best to meet your goals and assist you through the process of establishing an officially recognized social media site. University Marketing's Social Media Manager should be granted full access and credentials for any social media site posting on behalf of WCU; accounts will only be accessed in the case of a communications emergency. Social media accounts that are not logged with University Marketing should not be linked through the university website or promoted by departments.
