Academic Scholarships

Scholarships are available to new freshmen and transfer students based on academic achievement.  Consideration is based on academic records submitted during the admission process. For detailed information on these opportunities, new freshmen should contact the Honors College and transfer students should contact the Admission Office.

Foundation Scholarships

WCU offers a number of scholarships that have been established by alumni and other friends of the university.   Some of these scholarships are based on financial need and others are based on merit.  In order to be considered for need-based scholarships, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1 each year.  Browse the complete list

Athletics

WCU competes in Division I athletics as a member of the Southern Conference.  Contact the Athletics Department for additional information regarding athletic scholarships.

Especially for Graduate Students

There are several programs available through the Graduate School to assist with funding your graduate education
