Summer financial aid awards are packaged separately from fall/spring awards. Types of financial aid available for summer include student and parent loans. Summer financial aid cannot exceed your yearly or aggregate limit for aid, in combination with aid previously awarded.

If you are transferring to Western Carolina  you may be eligible for some of the same types of aid you received at your previous school, but will still need to go through the full awarding process. To begin this process, you will need to log into your existing FAFSA to add our school code. 

To apply for summer financial aid, you must:

• Complete a Summer School Supplement form , which is available February 1 and due by April 1.
• Enroll in a minimum of six hours (for undergraduate students) and three  hours (for graduate students).
• Three of your hours have to begin before July 1.
