Master of Business Administration
The Master of Business Administration degree was first offered
by Western Carolina University more than thirty years ago, and
the entire MBA curriculum has been offered through Western's Graduate
Center in Asheville for more than twenty years. Today, employers
consistently report that Western's students are well prepared
to handle the business complexities of the global marketplace.
Graduates have accepted highly responsible and lucrative jobs
in organizations throughout the United States and the world.
Students with technical, liberal arts, or business undergraduate
degrees find that an MBA degree broadens their views and sharpens
their skills. Students learn about accounting, economics, finance,
information systems, law, management, marketing, and communication.
We endeavor to maintain small class sizes to promote an interactive
classroom environment. In this more personal coxtext, professors
are free to use a variety of teaching methods - case study, team
problem solving, classroom discussion-designed to balance theory
with practical application, and maximize your learning.
The College of Business at Western Carolina University is fully
accredited by AACSB-The International Association for Management
Education, the internationally recognized accrediting agency for
business schools.
