The Tourism Research and Resource Center provides services to the hospitality and tourism organizations and businesses in western North Carolina. As the largest employer of the region, hospitality and tourism firms contract with the center for projects to enhance their businesses. The center is responsible for obtaining grants to enhance regional tourism and hospitality programs, the WCU HT program and the professional development of faculty. The center also represents WCU at regional, state and national tourism conferences.
