WCU CMAA Student Chapter - updated 11/11/04
The Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) "advances the profession of club management by fulfilling the educational and related needs of its members." Country club managers, students and various other members now bring the total membership of CMAA to 7,000+. Right now Western Carolina University is one of 40 CMAA student chapters. The Carolina 's Chapter of Club Managers is parent to our WCU student chapter. Our chapter attends and participates in functions provided by the Carolina 's throughout the year. If you are to be in the field of country club management then you need to belong to CMAA. The organization is very beneficial to you in many aspects. It will help teach and better develop your skills as a professional club manager.

Every year
most of our student members attend the National Conference held in different
locations; most recently in Anaheim , CA . This year we were able to send
16 students to California for a week with the help of CMAA and the Carolina
's Chapter. The National Conference holds educational sessions, provides
an expo related to the profession, job fair and several other exhibits.
It is an enormous benefit to those that are able to attend because of
the experience, education and networking that takes place.
