ACT-Information for Life's Transitions |

| The ACT is a college entrance exam that is offered at Western two times per year (usually in April and December). |

Find out more about the ACT and register online at www.ACT.org.
Test Preparation:
- The College Foundation of North Carolina provides free online preparation resources for the ACT and SAT.
- March 2 Success provides free, web-based workshops, quizzes and practice tests for the ACT. These courses were designed by Kaplan and Educational Options and are sponsored by the US Army.
- North Carolina residents can access free practice tests and tutorials for the ACT through LearningExpress Library, a service provided by NC LIVE. Contact your public library to obtain an NC LIVE password. Once you have a password, access the database and select "College Entrance Exams" on the right.
- On-line ACT preparation courses are offered through Western's Continuing Education Office.
- Study Guide Zone offers free, comprehensive study guides for a variety of undergraduate and graduate admissions exams.
