Supplemental/Graduate/DL Information
TO: All Faculty
FROM: Pam DeGraffenreid
RE: Supplemental/Graduate/Distance Learning Textbook Requirements
This
letter is to request textbook information. As many of
you know, textbook costs are an ongoing issue with the UNC Board of
Governors and have generated interest in on-time adoption rates within
the system. On-time adoptions are
important for bookstores to access the used book market and thus lower
textbook costs. In addition, the
Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) requires that textbook
information must be available to students at the time of
registration. Please share this
information within your department and let us know if we can help you
with submitting your textbook requests by the due date.
Supplemental/graduate/dl
textbook requests may be submitted either through the WCU Bookstore
website at http://books.wcu.edu
(faculty links) or on a hardcopy also available on our website. There
are no standing orders for textbooks you ask students to purchase. Purchase textbook requests must be
submitted each semester. Requests for supplemental/graduate/dl textbooks
must be received as soon as possible to allow processing of orders and
receiving of books in a timely manner.
If
anyone would like to review the history from a previous semester please
contact Pam Bryson at brysonpam@email.wcu.edu to request a
history summary. I will be happy
to provide this information.
Supplemental/Graduate
and Distance Learning Textbook Requests need to be received by (see
permanent textbook requests due dates on our website.)
NOTE: Please
include all sections. We are
looking at actual enrollment based on the section(s) you provide. Example-enter section 01, 05 and not 2
sections.
