Bardo Arts Center is dedicated to cultural enrichment, professional arts training and individual opportunity. The arts are a reflection of our culture and commitment to the human spirit; your support allows us to attract world-renowned talent on stage, and dynamic, engaging exhibitions in the museum.
The Friends of the Arts is a fundraising organization working on behalf of the WCU College of Fine and Performing Arts which includes the School of Music, School of Stage and Screen, the School of Art and Design, and Bardo Arts Center. Your gift to Friends of the Arts supports a wide variety of initiatives including scholarship opportunities, academic programming, and presenting world-class artists in Bardo Arts Center's Performance Hall and Fine Art Museum. Friends of the Arts members receive special benefits including early bird ticket opportunities to the annual fall concert.
There are almost as many ways to give as there are needs to be met. Outright gifts of cash, stock or property make an immediate impact and can fund an
annual exhibit or help to further the collection mission of the museum. These gifts
also offer the benefit of an income tax deduction.
Planned gifts are most often from a bequest in your will, by beneficiary designation of retirement assets or a life insurance policy, or by funding a trust. Some planned gifts offer income for a period of years or life, or allow you to continue to live in your house in the case of a retained life estate. Depending upon the nature of the gift, you might receive an income tax deduction.
