Thanks for stopping by. These are exciting times for the English department. Because of the boom in web and computer-based communication, English students with computer training are some of the most employable graduates in today's market. The new and continuing changes in our curriculum, such as our Major in Motion Picture Studies, reflect that excitement.

If you've selected another major, you should know that a minor in English or Professional Writing makes any major more employable. Many literature courses and most writing courses are taught using advanced presentation and web software in computer classrooms. Majors in biology, business, criminal justice, art, and computer science, to name only a few, have found that a minor in English gives them the skills they need in today's marketplace.
