"What
did you enjoy about the English Education Program, and how do
you feel the program helped prepare you for what you are doing
or will be doing?"
Outstanding
instruction.
Dr. Warner is
very supportive and available.
The regular
classroom teacher who attended and participated in our methods
and writing classes. The input was invaluable, concerning
the transition from being a student to becoming a teacher.
The single most
important piece of my preparation as a teacher was derived
from the year long internship program. The intership
prepared me for the delicate balancing act that all teachers
must successfully negotitate on a daily basis. The
ability to not only view a school year but actually be in
control of all aspets of that year in a supportive environment
is an experience which is unparalleled.
"Do
you have any advice for present and future students within the
English Education Program?"
Listen to Dr.
Warner. She knows what she is talking about.
Participate
in the internship.
Participate
fully in all your classes.
Learn as much
as you can about technology.
Take advantage
of your opportunity to observe different teachers.
