Research Interests
My primary interest is in the study of tissue- and developmental stage-specific transcriptional regulation in multicellular animals (metazoans) and higher plants.  Current research being conducted in my laboratory involves the development of novel methods for identifying the proteins recruited to genetic regulatory elements.

The lab is also working on the design and synthesis of molecular imprinted polymers for detection of the second messengers cAMP, cGMP, and IP3.  The goal is to develop cost effective high throughput assays for use in drug discovery.
