The
bulletin boards are the first thing you see when you approach
the offices of Mathematics and Computer Science. To the
right is a generic board that sports announcements, including
math education conferences, computing conferences,
and other information. But the board on the left tells a
different story. Picture after picture--of hikes, awards
banquets, bizarre play-doh based calculus projects, even
a department sponsored murder-mystery weekend--shows a close-knit
group of teachers and students whose sense of play helps
bring learning to life. Neatly-arranged Polaroids of every
department major add to the strong impression of community
and engagement.
