English:
What's New?

The English Department is always changing for the better. Some of the most recent innovations:
  • New Cyber Writing class: students design web pages for the University and community
  • Practical, hands-on applications, in technical writing classes
  • New Film Minor: includes classes on Film History and Criticismstudent-designed web page
  • Offering a variety of new courses, such as The Bible as Literature and Appalachian Literature, which appeal to a broad spectrum of students

Clearly, The English Department works hard to keep up with the advancing world of technology without losing sight of the importance in literature and writing. The department and its professors are among the most highly rated at Western.

As you can see, everyone involved with the English Department at WCU is making great strides to provide students with a variety of opportunities to enjoy, explore, and understand the worlds of literature and writing. Has your question been answered? These are only highlights of the English Department and the opportunities they provide for student's education and future. If these are not enough, check them out. Visit their web page or -- better still -- come see for yourself.
