Geology 491 - Cullowhee Creek Restoration
 

  Meeting Time: Fridays at 11:00 am

  Location: 253 Stillwell Building

   

Track Hoe pushing itself out of the channel of Cullowhee Creek just downstream from the main entrance to campus.

  Course Description:

The goal of this course is for students to monitor channel changes associated with the restoration of the campus reach of Cullowhee Creek.  Students will use standard land surveying techniques to measure 20 river cross-sections, measure bed sediment in each of these locations, and produce a 3D map of the stream bed as it adjusts to newly installed engineering structures.
