All Undergraduate Admissions applications for Spring, Summer, and Fall 2024 are currently available. Dates and deadlines for each application type are listed below.

Western Carolina University will evaluate each undergraduate freshman application
once your application, application fee and other required documents (official transcripts,
scores, etc.) have been received by the Office of Admission.
October 1: International freshman student application deadline for Spring Term.
November 1: Freshman student application deadline for Spring Term.
November 1: Freshman Early Action - Honors College Priority application deadline for Fall Term. Decisions will be mailed by December 15.
December 1: Freshman enrollment deposit ($300) deadline for Spring Term.
January 1: Financial aid deadline to apply for federal loans and need-based grants.
January 1: Priority Action Freshman - Financial Aid/Scholarship Priority application deadline for Fall Term. Decisions will be mailed by February 1.
January 2: Final high school and college transcript deadline for Spring Term.
February 1: Priority consideration deadline for freshman merit-based scholarships.
February 1: International freshman student application deadline for Fall Term.
February 1: Regular Action application deadline for Fall Term.
(Any applications submitted or completed after February 2 will be considered on space available basis.)
March 15: Priority filing date to submit FAFSA.
March 15: Financial aid deadline to apply for federal loans and need-based grants.
April 1: The Financial Aid Office begins award notifications through student's MyWCU account.
May 1: Freshman enrollment deposit ($300) deadline for Summer Term and Fall Term.
July 15: Final high school and college transcript deadline.
Western Carolina University will evaluate each undergraduate transfer application once your application, application fee and other required documents (official transcripts, scores, etc.) have been received by the Office of Admission.
Meeting regular deadlines does not guarantee review of your application and is based on capacity for the intended term as well as other various enrollment-related factors. To ensure an admission decision and availability for your desired term, apply by or before the priority deadline.
