Three semesters of college work
Students at a North Carolina community college are encouraged to complete the 44-hour
general education core set forth by the community college. This will transfer to WCU,
fulfilling the Liberal
Studies Requirement. Contact your transfer counselor/adviser at your community college
for more information on this block of work.
For admission, students should submit an official transcript from each college attended. The high school transcript and standardized test scores are not required if the 44-hour general education core is complete.
Four semesters of college work
Students are encouraged to complete an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree. Completion of one of these degrees from a properly accredited institution, including all North Carolina Community Colleges, will transfer into WCU waiving the Liberal Studies requirement and awards the students junior status.
For admission, students should submit an official transcript from each college attended. The high school transcript and standardized test scores are not required if an AA or AS degree is earned.
Students who are over the age of 24, regardless of number of college credits completed, do NOT need to submit a high school transcript or standardized test scores.
