Who is a Non-Degree Student?
Helping ensure that you are on the correct path helps ensure that you find the best information.
You are a non-degree student if you wish to enroll at WCU to take undergraduate courses but you are not actively pursuing an undergraduate degree at WCU. Different types of non-degree students include:
- High School Dual Enrollment: You wish to enroll in WCU undergraduate coursework while still enrolled in high school
- Teacher Licensure: You already have an undergraduate degree and you do not plan to complete an undergraduate degree at WCU, but you wish to work toward teacher licensure requirements
- Transient (Visiting): Currently, you are a student in good standing at another college or university, but you wish to enroll at WCU for one term with the intent of transferring the WCU credits back to your home institution
- Special Non-Degree: You do not plan to complete an undergraduate degree at WCU, but you wish to take undergraduate courses for personal, educational or professional enrichment (i.e., to fulfill prerequisites for graduate or professional school, maintain professional licensure or credentials, enhance professional knowledge or skills, take a course as a senior citizen, etc.)
